McAllen ISD had a record-tying 58 students named as Advanced Placement Scholars and 21 more named National Hispanic Scholars it was announced. Many of them were honored before the McAllen School Board Nov. 28.
The AP Scholars from McAllen James “Nikki” Rowe High include Harrison S. Dale, Andres D Davila, David T. Dobbins, David E. Flores, Guillermo Gomez, Denise A. Graham, Marco A. Lopez, Luis Angel Luis, Ivan A. Martinez, Sergio Mier, Sarah Jean D. Pineda, Gabrielle Ramirez, Guillermo Rodriguez, Nicole Roque, Jesus E. Ruiz, Jorge L. Saenz, Daniel Silva III, Rocio M. Tueme, Karla D. Vazquez and Arianna Yarritu.
AP Scholars from McAllen Memorial High include Dylan M. Blackwell, Angela Estrada, Kristian N. Gorena, Ruben Guerra, Courtney L. Hall, Ian T. Kettelkamp, Bryan J. Kudisch, Victoria V. Ochoa, Myriam E. Ortegon, Isabela M. Pena Gonzalez, Daniel J. Sauceda and Kirstin C. Sims.
AP Scholars from McAllen High School include Elizabeth B. Abrams, Lucas T. Atkins, Elizabeth M. Dyke, James C. Egger, Marshell G. Euler, Anthony D. Gonzalez, April S. Herrera, David A. Herrera, Victoria Y. Olivarez, Michael Polewski, Natalia Rodriguez, Anthony A. Salinas, Karla L. Santana and Zachary M. Weber.
In McAllen ISD, five students qualified for the AP Scholar with Honor Award by earning an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of three or higher on four or more of these exams.
